If your student is too late, follow the following steps:
- Wait for the student for 10 minutes.
- Send a message in your Teacher’s Group if the student had left a word or said that something was wrong.
- If the students is late but is coming, wait for additional 5 minutes.
- Leave class if the students doesn’t show up after a total of 15 minutes.
- report the student as absent in your dashboard.
If the student has double session, re-enter the second class, wait for 5 minutes then report the student absent.
Can I reject a Trial session?
All teachers must list their available times for every day of the week. This also includes the hours they have sessions with Arabic101 Academy. These times also count as available times.
If a teacher receives a trial session within the available time as indicated by the teacher, then the teacher is expected to accept the trial and be fully prepared for it. If, for any reason, the teacher doesn’t want to attend the trial session planned within the available times, they should contact their supervision.
What is the ‘Chat’ function with the student?
What is the ‘Chat’ function with the student?
What is the ‘Chat’ function with the student?
Chatting with the teacher is a perk only for ‘Legacy’ students. Legacy students have the perk that they may ask questions through the Dashboard chat and get answers, even outside the times of sessions. We ask the teachers to respond within 6 hours of the student’s question.
You may also contact other team members through chat. Just remember that all communications are being stored in the system, and regularly reviewed by the management team.
What is the difference between ‘Cancelling’ and ‘Re-scheduling’ a session?
Cancelling Lesson is a perk only available for ‘Legacy students’ – Cancelling lessons gives them the flexbility to not attend class if it is not convenient to them. They may cancel up to 3 classes per month. After the third cancellation, it will count as absence. Cancelled lessons will be added as ‘credit points’ which the student can use to plan new lessons.
Rescheduling is a perk available for ‘Excellence’ and ‘Legacy’ tiers which means that a student may ask to re-schedule a session to a different time. This must have at least 4h prior to the time of the session. Excellence students can do that 3 times per month, and legacy students 5 times per month.
If any student doesn’t show up to class without any prior notice, regardless of tier, it counts as ‘Absent’.
What is the ‘Recorded Sessions’ perk?
Legacy students have the perk of ‘Recorded Sessions’. This means that that the student has the ability to later review or rewatch the lesson that they had attended.
So should you start recording the sessions? No, you don’t have to, not until the student asks for it. But as a teacher if you notice that the student might benefit from reviewing the lesson or you provided an exercise that requires revisiting something you mentioned, then you can direct the student toward this option, of course, or just simply record it and send to the student.
Lessons recorded on Zoom are automatically stored on the Academy system, and it will be shared with you in your Teacher Group and with the student.
Do I have to fill up ‘Session Reports’ after class?
The short answer is: No.
Becase we moved away from Google Meets, you are no longer required to fill in ‘Session Reports’ after each session. These reports are filled in Arabic101 Academy system, and appears on the student’s account.
Where do I ask if I have technical questions?
If you have technical questions, or basically any kind of question, please state them in your group. In your group, there are members of the support team as well as your direct supervisor who will answer you directly in shaa Allah and solve any problems.
Why is my login username for the internal dashboard system like that?
The code of usernames are formed according to the first and last name of the teacher. They are formed using the initial of a teacher and the last three letters of the teacher’s last name. Example:
Ahmad Samy > AAMY
Ola Jabir > OBIR
We kindly ask our teachers to leave their usernames unchanged to make it easy for our support teach to maintain the account if there is technical help needed.
